does anybody know if there is a template  or plans on installing the newer "preamp" on the old style A/E  units?

 I have an Pre amp that has everything  built in , you press and it pops out battery and all , plus the jacks and pickup .

I am wanting to install on my 1617 or 1667..it also has  a jack for the XLR  out.

 any ideas?
