Why is the W597 so much cheaper than all other Adamas guitars?

Just curious. Most Adamas guitars, even old ones, seem to cost two or three thousand dollars, yet the W597, used and in great condition, rarely gets much beyond the $1,150 mark. Anyone know why this is?

My personal opinion is because the designs are different, the early Adamas guitars use a uni-directional carbon fiber top mounted in a suspension ring with most likely a deep bowl, there were some shallow bowl models,The suspension ring really enhances the tone and sustain and makes these guitars on another level,The W597 uses a cross weave carbon fiber top on a basic mid-bowl with taditional binding, they are probably great stage guitars but the Q597 I used to have didn't have the full bodied sound or sustain of my Adamas II 1681-8 ,so theres my 2 cents.

Superior acoustic sound is where the $$$$ is, and the W597 sounds pretty weak acoustically (unplugged) compared to a vintage Adamas 1687 or 1681.

Okay, this all makes sense. I did briefly own a W597 around 12 years ago, and the acoustic sound was not as impressive as I was expecting.
