hello, it's been a while since I wrote here. So, can anyone tell me why the astronomical price of this ugly guy's Ovation (hideous with that 80's electric headstock) for sale? https://www.ebay.com/itm/175055765896?hash=item28c2230188:g:JOcAAOSw...

It's a stupid attempt at a joke. That was one of my least favorite Collector's models because of the headstock. Back when I thought it would be cool to have each of the Collector's series, that might have been the last one I'd get.

Wow! If my dog was as ugly as that headstock, I'd shave its butt and make it walk backwards.

This is.. what.. the 7th time in the past few years that this nut kid and his Ebay antics have been a topic? Trying to impress this week's girlfriend (again) with the price. As for the headstock.. if it was a one-off collectible in a range of collectibles, then that must have been the pitch at the time.. but I don't recall having much desire to swing at it.

PS: Just for giggles, we should all take turns clicking it into our Ebay carts..and let it sit.. and sit.. and sit.

Hello, Everyone,
Speaking of, "astronomical", prices, the aforementioned Ovation Book is now being sold on Amazon.ca in PAPERBACK for... would you believe...$424.88 USD, and/or $418.08 CDN? Pick your poison, Ladies and Gentlemen. I am very hesitant to check out the price on E-Bay.ca. That would probably kill me dead, too.

Sent mine out years ago on a 2008 World Tour, last reported in Brazil, as I recall. Recipients added to the parcel, too. So, that book is priceless, right?

got the guitar .... and that matching book.
Guitar is great - book simply overrated.
Would give it away for just a few Euros ....
Compile all that "Beal"-Posts and you have a real "Book" invaluable ....

Wouldn't call the book overrated. Some interesting history there. Certainly overrated at those prices.
Regular searches can snag a reasonable one. Picked up a copy for $30 a few years ago on Ebay.
