Nice guitar Jeff! A mobile Home also. :D
Isn't it great that we can take a thread about a fabulous guitar and turn it into a study of agriculture and southern living. :D |

Oh, by the way, nice guitar. :)

In Portland Oregon, they wouldn't let you mow that lawn...
They'd declare it "Open Space" and fine you for killing the blackberries, milkweed and poison oak. |

I believe the "Lawn" started as a means to see the enemy approaching the estate or keep. Having tall fields was definately out due to the amount of cover and the fire hazard so manicured grass was in.
This was of course negated with the advent of the Trebuchet. Which was negated with the use of Gun Powder, which is comprised of Carbon, sulpher and...

Very multi-level photograph Jeff! Way to go! This is exactly how threads should develop. I admire you're historical perspective on this matter, Woodrow. Though I find high grass keeps the rednecks at bay... They're afear'da snakes lurking about unseen...
This was once a hayfield which I'm allowing to go fallow... then feral to become wooded. Over 6 years, it has been interesting to watch the transition.
Beal, I've though about goats... But then, so has Breeze... and goats can't eat when they are running for their life...
.... as for the guitar, it sounds as sweet as an azure summer sky. The neck profile, a shallow "C", makes the 1-11/16" nut width very tolerable. I do see how the 1-3/4" would be the cat's tuckus. |

I admire Jeff because:
A) He has an Engineering mind and a boyish imagination.
B) He is generous (Wooden Roundback Tour, et al).
C) If I kiss up enough I might get to borrow one of his cool guitars... |
