Location: Boise, Idaho | After hovering over the UPS tracking info for a week, which showed a June 22 departure from Illinois, I finally got the "out for delivery" sign this morning. The guitar stuff was scanned an hour later than the OFC guitar, though, so, like some others, there may be two separate deliveries today. I'll probably get even less work done today than I usually do. OHBOYOHBOYOHBOY |

Are you sure you don't want to go home and relax, maybe have some tea, head off that cold that it sounds like you have coming on ? Summer colds are the worst you know, and an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. I think you better leave for the day. Maybe take tomorrow off as well. ;) |

Mark is sitting out on his deck with that fantastic Idaho mountain view. His lovely wife comes out with a tall, frosty cold drink in one hand and the OFC guitar in the other. She hands Mark both, sits down and purrs... "Play for me dear. You know... the one I like so much to hear."
Mark begins to make the OFC guitar do what it was meant to do. Soon, little forest creatures are peaking out from behind the surrounding trees and rock formations. They are slightly confused because it sounds like nature singing out in the wild, yet this is something new to them.
Soon... bunnys, fawns, and little baby kitten bobcats are gathered around the deck. A song bird then lands on Marks shoulder and offers some fleeting harmony. Mark acknowledges his small feathered friend with a slight nod. And both man and beast know that for now, all is well with the world. |

Maybe I better go home.
Brad's imagination is about as far from reality as you could get. About 95 degrees today here at the edge of the desert. We have a deck we never use. Hippie daughter and her drummer boyfriend will be working on their VW greasemobile or visiting friends. Wife is on her way to San Diego. I'll take the guitar down in the basement to meet it's siblings. Saturday I'm going to strap it in the passenger seat and drive through the Nevada desert down to San Diego. |

He finds the box in the front hall and opens it there and then. NO time to carry it to a room out back. GOTTA SEE IT NOW!! GOTTA HAVE IT NOW!!!
Lucky for the UPS guy there was someone else to take delivery. Otherwise he would've been traumatized by the experience and there'd be bits of guitar box scattered all over the neighborhood. (Picture the Tasmanian Devil digging for food)
Guess we won't be hearing from Mark for a few days. I'm actually surprised he had the time to post those 2 messages. He either really likes us... or is just gloating. :) |

He's gonna put the new toy down, putting it somewhere picturesque, take some photos, download the photos to his 'poota, select and resize some good ones, upload the photos to the 'net and let us know that he's done so. The whole time this is happening, the new guitar is still sitting in its picturesque environment - NOT BEING PLAYED.
I don't think so.
Then there's the mess in the front hall that needs to be dealt with before the missus gets home.
If it were my missus, I know what I'd be doing first. |

Far as I know - #7 is the only one south of the Orange County line. So, .16667 of issue.
Also, only one residing with # 3 of the 47RI.
As an aside, both fantastic, but different voice. |

It doesn't help when I ask someone like my secretary, who lived most of her life in LA and San Diego, how far one place is from another and she always talks in terms of hours. Here 3 hours is about 240 miles. There it must be about 20.
I am planning on bringing the OFC with me to San Diego this weekend. PM me a phone number and I'll try to look you up. |

Since it's vinyl, it seems to have washed off fine. Good thing I didn't leave the case open.
Ernie, I suspect the collection is due to a compulsive gene I got from my father. His collection of motorhomes has lost him most of his retirement fund. Of course, that's what retirement funds are supposed to be for, but my wife is a bit concerned about where genetics will take me over the next few years. |

I'm not suggesting that any cat Al might have took a dump in the gig bag, I'm just saying that Mark's cat might have picked up the scent and was marking it's territory.

I used to have the book... 101 Ways To Kill A Cat. One of the cartoons showed an Army guy looking for land mines using a cat tied to the end of a 10 foot pole.
Unfortunatly, it got lost somewhere down the line. |

He likes the basement, which is a long way from his cat box, so he eventually can't hold it. We've had surprises in several places in the basement before. It looked like he tried to cover it with the axejacket.
I never would have thought that a thread on the OFC guitar could stray into a thread on cat piss, but this group is full of surprises. Like the one on cats using the cases as beds. Sorry I'm responsible for this diversion. |

We already have a cat (a good one) and a dog (a very good one). Well the other day, she came home for lunch and found a 1 square foot section of that 4K carpet torn up right to the backing. The new cat was caught in the act. Said cat left last night, back to where it came from, and now we are back to normal (?). Moral: remove all known bad cats, now. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Our cat's much better looking. And the Axejacket is all cleaned and hanging out to dry. No more leaving the basement door open.
Man this guitar is beautiful in every way. Thanks again Al. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I just registered the warranty on line. It's a little different than the card. The card doesn't ask for your age bracket. I scrolled to the bottom and see that they stop at 52 and up. I guess they don't figure we get much older.
The registration card isn't much different than the one I filled out in 1977, the last time I bought a new Ovation. Every 30 years at 20 times the cost means that my next one in 2037 will be about $90,000. |

Hmmm maybe they need to start now!
How about "Did you make this purchase based on hanging out on the OFC?"... |

Location: Boise, Idaho | They had a question like that. I filled in "other" with Ovation Fan Club. They also asked about number of other Ovation guitars and I had to go with 7 or more. |
