I couldn't find a red Tornado, but cutesy David has 12-string O here.
And the little red-haired snot (who was the coolest person on the show) has an O bass.
-Health Warning-
Mute the sound, just look...
edit-- NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE STARTED!! |

Maybe not especially musical, but entertainment.
I'd ask where you find this stuff but.....'it's on the web, dude!'
and, ON topic, I think I remember some endorsement deal where Ovation provided all the guitars for The Partridge Family TV show. Maybe this is why the corp. is so down on endorsement deals?
(wouldn't that show have been sooo much cooler if Billy and the rest of the Cowsill family had done the show...it was inspired by them anyway. Unfortunately, like real families, they were just too disfunctional for TV.) |

David Cassidy and the Partridge Family are Icecream, with Whipped cream and candy on top...
...if you look at the a#§wipes that are violating Ovations over here (and that is just what I found in two minutes on the web):
Kurt
By the way, cruster - Hurra Torpedo is kinda cool. I wear my pants the way they do ;) |

Location: CT | I remember David usually played the 6 string roundbacks, and the punk played the T-Bass (or whatever hollow 335-style O bass it was). And yes, the brat was the best part of the show. Amazing sound they get out of that garage! :D Maybe they should contact that engineer who can't record Ovations.

If O's lose any respect today because some punk rocker sees a Partridge Family re-run, I'm sure it's more than made up by the fact MILLIONS of people saw one of the days top hearthrobs playing Ovations on stage and on T.V. during the companys early years. |

Location: Utah | I used to think it was Glen Campbell who first generated my interest in O's. I remember back in high school in 1977 I wanted a 12 string O but couldn't afford it. Bought an Alvarez 12 that sounds outstanding today.
But maybe it was the PF that sparked my interest? My older sister had posters of David Cassidy on her bedroom walls and we used to watch the show regularly. She also had pictures of Donny Osmond.
I think I'll go with Glen as my main O influence. |
