So here is what I did in the course of about an hour tonight:

1) bought a couple of CDs - Metallica's Black Album, King Crimson's In The Court of the Crimson King
2) Tried out the VXT - can't comment on the electric sound because they couldn't come up with a working stereo cord, so just played through an acoustic amp. The acoustic sound was very good. It was very comfortable to play - I liked the feel of the neck.
3) played a banjo in the acoustic room - Dueling Banjos - in preparation for my journey south on friday. It almost sounded like I knew what I was doing.
4) played a few other O's - 1112 Balladeer in great shape, the 1581 which is still hanging on the wall, and a 1778t.
5) bought a couple of books of Classical fingerpicking arrangements for the guitar.

Maybe I need to focus more...

CL,

please tell me that your son wasn't playing dueling banjos with you.

Nope - I haven't taught him that particular song yet... it's just not right for a 10 year old.

The real key is to remain focused when the sharp objects are in your hands!

Here\'s something shiny to take your mind of of what you were doing...

Woody - don't think I haven't noticed this one. Let's see how the cash flow goes after this weekend - between the southern jam and the Tak that I'll be bringing home with me, I may be a little short.

I do need a BW PG though...

It's related to your Koa Papoose... if that helps!
