Location: Boise, Idaho | Look at the OFC Gathering PNW thread below. We had a big group last year. You can find it by searching for NW gathering. It was a long thread covering about a year, but you should be able to find some pics. Miles brought some really rare guitars. I had to leave early, so everyone else had a great time after I left and had lots more beer. |

There was more beer drinking and BSing when I was there last year. More jamming and trying out guitars than performing. Ray brought a couple of new models for us to try out and Miles kept bringing out one rare bird after another. |

Wasn't THAT much beer consumed. No police attended. |

[threadjack]The gathering is very informal. No performance schedule only spontaneous jams and solos -- mostly just a bunch of noodling. All levels of playing form beginner to advanced. It's mostly about personalizing the impersonal nature of internet communities and -- guitars. Lots of guitars. (every space in the house was taken by guitar cases!) We'd love to have you join us. This year will be quite a bit smaller it seems, but should be a blast.
Check in on the OFC Gathering PNW mini thread.[/threadjack]

Location: Boise, Idaho | I spent all my time trying out everyone else's guitars and then trying to find a place to put one while I picked up another one. I was still there when the plugged in guys were playing, but I didn't get into that mix. I had a great time and wish I could have stayed longer, but I had to go to my Mom's birthday party. My daughter and I played B.J. Thomas' "Momma" for her and it went over quite well. I was a little stressed over that. |

Welcome.
DO come to the gathering. Everyone is quite civilized and supportive. ....If somewhat calmer and less effusive than they appear here.
(except for Woody. You just can't keep the pants on that man without a staplegun! "Hey, everyone want to try my new hot tub? It's in the truck!" |

Location: Portland Oregon | hey CWK2.......yea, what's up with that bridge......there is also a "screw" that comes from the back of the body......mine isn't attached to anything and just falls out........it seems like it's supposed to adjust or do something with that bridge.......also, at that angle, it's hard, if not impossible to adjust the intonation.......is that really the way it's supposed to be??........i could use more info on that bridge situation.......
and, thanks everyone for the feedback........ya;ll seem like nice, interested people.......i may or may not check out the gathering......i'm alittle creepy about groups of more than 3 people.....hahhaha.......although, i could write an email for days....obviously.......but, don't take it personally......hahah.... |
