Location: Florida | I just won an Adamas 2080 on the bay. I guess it comes with the VIP electronics. I don't know any thing about them. What type of amp would be best for this guitar? I was leaning toward the Hartke 75w. Anyone have any experience with the VIP setup? |

Location: Florida | Yep that was me cruster. I hope you weren't trying for the same item. I rarely get a good deal, but I think I may have lucked out on this one. Especially since I have an effects pedal (Digitech Whammy) for auction that I never use. It's going to sell for 4x what I paid for it. Go figure! Anyway, that will pay for my amp. Sweet! |

To be honest, I saw it at $1125 and was going to throw $1201.07 at it in the last few seconds. But, I got busy doing other things and didn't remember it was ending until about five after the hour. You would've won it anyway. I just couldn't believe it went for so little. Enjoy the guitar; if you're near Sarasota/Bradenton, maybe I'll come check it out next time we're down there. ;) |

Location: Florida | The AER is a very nice amp, but a little pricey. I was looking to spend about $500. The most interesting ones I have found so far, and all approx the same price point are: the Hartke AC75, UltraSound AG-50S4, Roland AC-60, Laney A1 65w, and something called a Strawberry Blonde? Does anyone have any of these and would be willing to share the negatives about them. Especially the quality of the effects. I would like to have reverb and chorus, but would rather have an amp with no effects rather than an amp with bad effects. |

Location: Lebanon, TN | I have the Roland AC60 and its pretty cool. Lihtweight but smooth sound as you'd expect from Roland gear. Comes with a carry bag as standard, and has a pole hole underneath to put it up on a heavyweight mic stand so you can get it up off the floor. |

Location: Marlton, NJ | Stuart - I use the AC60 for church services and it works really well. I bought the foot switch so I can turn the chorus on and off when it's up on the pole as needed. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I recently used a Shenendoah Jr. with a VIP. Finally got the correct XLR chord (Panet Waves swivel end) and wow, is that VIP ever sensitive. However, during a three hour solo gig last Friday, I used the 1/4 plug because I needed to use some effects in line. Personally, I think I would be satisfied with just about any acoustic amp with the VIP. These days, I seem to be gravitating to whatever amp is easiest to carry, meaning light weight. |

Location: Florida | Thanks a lot guys. The fishman looks good to me. The one on the bay is 10 yrs old, but looks like a great buy. Unfortunately it has no chorus effect. However the new Loudbox Performer looks like the ticket. A little more than what I wanted to spend, but has the simple effects I want and DI out. As a bonus, it's only 35 lbs. I'll let you know how everything works out. |
