I know nothing about 'O' solidbodies, except I know I want one.

I'm thinkin of throwing a bid down on this one at the last minute, as long as it doesn't go over $800 (Australian) If nobody bids, I might try for cheaper off-line.

Is there anything I should be aware of?

Well, to be perfectly frank, I think out of all of the Ovation solid bodies, the Preachers were the only ones that had no character, no charm, no appeal, and no pizazz (except for the 12 string version).

Try to get a viper or a uk2 and you will be a LOT HAPPIER down the road.

Are you referring to the looks, or the sound?

I prefer the look of the Viper, to be honest.

I think I'll be better off financially 'down the road' as well. Better let this one slide for now.

Thanks for the reality check, Steve.

No, the looks are ok...nothing special.

I was referring to the mojo of the 3 or 4 I have been (un)lucky enough to play.

Just can't hold a candle to the viper or uk2.

I have one each (BW Ltd, Viper III, Preacher, and UKii) and agree with Stephen. The UKii is the best of the lot.
