Unfortunately for OFC member "scartozi", back problems forced him to have to get rid of his beautiful 6778LX. I traded him a 2005 Ebony SG Special. The 6778LX is just beautiful and sounds great:

He tells me he is really enjoying the SG Special but I'll let him speak for himself:

This was a trade that seemed to work out very nicely for both parties. Thank you again scartozi.

Regards,

Tom

Tom, I had an LX much like that, and it is one of the many I regretted selling. Very nice in that NEB(?) finish. Although, that SG looks nice too!

I think I have a tear in my eye seeing my ovation at a new home. I know that it has a great new owner and Tom is a wonderful person to deal with. Nice pics Tom!

The SG is awsome and although I miss my ovation I love the SG. I was a win win for both of us and although I'm currently not an ovation owner I hope to be one again when my back permits, more than likely a super shallow custom Adamas???

Once again, thanks Tom for a great trade!

jpcannon,

Thank you. It is the NEB finish. The pictures don't do justice to this guitar's beauty. scartosi also kept it in great shape.

The SG was a hard guitar to give up because I hand picked it out of about 8 at my local GC. The playability is just awesome. I really like where the 12th fret sits with respect to my natural playing position. But in order to get something good in a trade you have to give up something good.

My solace rests in the fact that I still have a 1965 SG Special and a RI Firebird that have that same type of playability and upper fingerboard reach.

Regards,

Tom
