| I was wondering if Moody would be kind to post some detailed photos of his great looking OFC adamas?
Man!...I am dying to see some close-up pics of both top and back!

Jerome took some pics of the guitar and I'm hoping to see those soon. |

I like the pic of Weaser playing it on this thread

You know, I think everybody there played it and the only downside was when Temp killed the strings. Oh well, another casualty of destructive chemical warfare (Temp's body chemistry is officially called WMD -- Weapons of musical destruction)..... |

Great shots Miles. Stunning. At least there's one good picture of Moody's. ;)
I think I'm going to change out the tuner buttons to the large size. I was looking at #54 and it has the bigger ones. |

Paul, what does the label say? I got a pic from Tom showing the custom order form of #10 where it's described as "1187-847 with stereo electronics".

To me it's a 1687-8 but I think they took the 1187 cause it's a offshoot of #47RI.

| it's beautiful...but still to me it seems without any burst. Jerome's photos are so clear. There is no burst on the top...
The other think I noticed is the less glitter on the back, maybe the top too. The OFC adamas seems to have less glitter as compared to the 47RI... |

On some of my pictures, It's hard to say who is who... ;)
It's really a fantastic guitar.
It's very hard on the pictures to have the exact color of the top because it change with the light.
Just like for the #47-RI...

Digital cameras, light sources, camera/lighting angles, processing software, and individual monitors play a major part in how differently things can be perceived.
If the details, and the degree of burst are such a major factor, y'shoulda' made the trip . . like Jerome did. |

Dave To all concerned that I was seriously insinuating that Tupp was parlaying the "vast monies" derived from the sales of his "Workshop Ukes" into some-kinda insider 'Original Slothead' deal,
Please accept my apologies...
My sarcasm (and I was being sarcastic) may have appeared to be cynicism toward what we all know was an act of real generosity in acquiring sufficient numbers of ukes for the attendees of his workshops to utilize during those workshops. I, myself, was lucky enough to use one of his Jenny's (strangely enough, the name of my first real love) and was (not unlike my Jenny) very grateful to have her in my arms... |

The problem, as I see it, with a guitar that has a colour scheme is...you have to dress TOO the instrument.
Really! Jason.
"Blue and green should not be seen!"
Do Tup & I have to teach you all how to dress? Don't your wives (Or partners) teach you these things?

It was the Tequila.
I got up too late(er) on Fri. morning, and missed Al t'hand it off to him and get it to the Factory early.
Darren was nice enough t'say that I could bring it up ANYtime (like when I come up t'visit w/Beal) and he'd do it for me, or I could just wait 'til NextYear . . . |

One of the things that I really enjoyed in CT was letting everybody who wanted to, play that guitar. If Clifford could pass around #54 which is worth more than twice my OFC slothead, then letting everybody play my guitar was the least I could do. |

I would love to have played Paul's OFC Slothead and maybe Cliff would have let me play #54, but I was too new to know the details...but perhaps down the road...Still, what a trip it was....IF ANYONE IS SITTING ON THE FENCE ABOUT COMING TO THE TOUR, WHY? It is such a special time and I can't thank Al and Miles (and the usual suspects) for doing this for us!

Cliff's guitar is irreplaceable, and yet it was given no obvious deference over any of the others. Nonetheless, when it was my turn, I felt very honored to play it. I think that makes six original slotheads I've now had the good fortune to play. |
