| he'll be ok... for a while more I hope.
one of his favorite quotes that I heard was something like...
"I now owe my great appreciation and adoration of women to the care of my 3 fine nurses... Nurse Cialis, Nurse Levitra, and Nurse Viagra"..
sounds like he's still enjoying life too much to be leaving anytime soon.
Here's to a speedy and full recovery at 81.

Location: Tennessee | I saw BB King less than a month ago and he was in fine form. His voice was strong and guitar playing vintage BB. He did use the line Glenn quoted above during the show. ;) He sat during the entire show, and said that was due to leg problems (probably from the diabetes). But he is 81 ... although his demeanor was that of a much younger man. I hope it was just a touch of the flu. Maybe he got it from Al. |

| That bast**d al killed BB? Oops, wrong cartoon.
On that 20 best thread the extra on the bottom with BB and SRV and Albert Collins shows who the absolute master really is. Only Buddy Guy is in the same league, and he's a long way second.
BB is the boss of the blues. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I was fortunate to see him in Milwaukee at Harley's 100th Anniversary. He was late by about 90 minutes, pulls up in his motorhome, parks alongside the stage, hops out with his band members all of whom are carrying their guitars, they plug in, and within 10 seconds are ripping into a song. He had slowed down a bit, but it was still a great show. Of course, we loved the fact that the opening act had to continue to play for an extra 90 minutes (after having already played for a planned 90 minutes). The opening act was Jeff Beck playing completely solo, and he didn't slow down anything! |
