| My name is Jack and I just purchased a GC057 Ovation and needed some direction and advice. Not sure if I am able to post anywhere else yet. I'm not sure that the GC057 is the right model for me. I was looking at the CC24. Does anyone know the difference in sound between the 2?

If they are both laminate tops, the sound would be similar.
If the GC057 is a solid top, that one one "should" sound "better".
Your mileage may vary.
You're good to go on the main board.

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | I owned a GC057. It has a laminated top.
The GC057 is a Super-Shallow Bowl.
The CC24 is a Mid-Depth.
The GC057 was a made-for-Guitar-Center version of the CC057.
Only without the plastic rosette and with the OP4BT Preamp.
That was earlier in this decade.
Nowadays the CC28 would be quite similar to the GC057.
