The test is just too finicky for me -- i know i have a bunch of them correct but it won't accept the answers and i don't have the patience to work on each answer to their liking. Sheesh!
Lot's of fun anyway, and it brought back a bunch of memories -- thanks Stephen.

(like the ones currently in colorado)
you wrote "whistle rymes" vs. "wistle rhymes" |

I scored 28 by myself before I gave up. I knew probably another 10 artists but did not know the names of the album.
My brother-in-law quickly nailed about 15 more before he had to research the remaining 10 or so. He knew all of the bands except for one. It was the titles he had to ultimately look up.
When everyone is ready I will post up the answers. |

If someones says anything libelous or stupid, designed as a hit and run type post with the intention of deleting it, all someone has to do is quote it in a reply and even if they delete the message they can't delete the quoted part of it in a reply.
Whatever Miles and Al feel most comfortable with, but I've seen alot of posts with no text lately which I'm sure the posters probably posted something in error and had no way to delete so they just edited everything out. Seems like a time limit on deleting would be a better way. |

Knowing that one is probably a sure sign of heavy pot use, at least back then. :D

Iron Maiden?!? :eek: Uh...'scuse me but who are you and what did you do with the real Gil? LOL ... another side of my past that I usually do not talk about! Growing up in your neck of the woods, I was a student at OCC. In my two years there, them classmates of mine, got me into those types of music. It was late in the 80s and heavy metal became acceptable in the mainstream. I must admit to sporting shoulder length hair, and wearing those creepy t-shirts. Actually most of them metal concerts that I attended to were actually in Syracuse -- from the Carrier Dome at SU to the Cayuga Fairgrounds in Weedsport.
It's really funny to look back after all these years ... as a listener, I learned to appreciate Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth among others. As a guitar player, however, I never really learned any of their stuff!!
After two years at OCC, I transferred to a 4-year college. Once there, I got introduced to Debussy, Rachmaninov, Brahms, Mahler, etc. (talking about extreme huh?). There was also an acoustic revival going on, which triggered my past interest in the music of Jim Croce, James Taylor, Neil Young, among others. To make a long story short:
- I cut my hair short;
- I sang in the college choir to the music of Handel, Bach, etc.
- Outside of college life, I hit the coffehouses to re-learn them croce songs and such ...
What a long strange trip it's been ... |
