On pages 94 to 102, there is an excellent article on a visit to the factory and review of the LX range. Overall a very positve article with plenty of pictures of the production stages.

Some interesting facts: Ovation USA and Adamas make between 10000 - 20000 guitars a year. 90% of production is the LX model and 1500 Adamas per year. The Chinese and Korean made units production numbers are huge and not quoted, but they say that 10% of Ovations are made in the USA.

It takes 10 -12 hours to make an LX and 25 - 30 to make an Adamas.

I am flying to Las Vegas tomorrow to visit an exhibition (PowerGen) and hope the sun is shining, because in the UK, it is typical winter weather.

Thanks, Piers. I think that issue has not arrived in the U.S. yet. I was looking at Guitarist at one of our major U.S. bookstores (Borders) last night and it did not have that article in it.

Hello Roger

I get my Guitarist mag on suscription, so it is early, but it is in the UK shops now. It has a picture of the Darkness on the front cover.
