This is a viper I am bidding on. I have one that is made of mahogony and has a ebony fingerboard. This one looks like it is made of pine. I know that can't be right. What is it made of? Is it as heavy as mine or even close? Is the fingerboard seperate or the same piece as the neck? |

Location: Upper Left USA | That is a really nice one piece Maple (maybe ash but 90% sure its maple). The Mahogany you have is more rare as well.
Most were 3 piece ash. |

I can see the line now - 2 piece. And I meant Alder not Ash, I'm going back to paying my bills... |

Location: North Texas | Nice geetar. The neck looks exactly like mine. I always suspected it was maple. My Viper is a '73, sunburst top, and has a four digit serial number. I'll look at my neck with a magnifier to see if I can see a joint at the fretboard. To the naked eye mine looks to be one solid neck. I'm curious what the Viper will sell for. |

Location: North Texas | Bad axe, highly underrated. It would take a lot more than that for me to cut loose of mine. |

I bought mine new in the 70's and probably will still have it when they divide up my paltry estate. I still have the original papers that hung on it's neck in the store.
I have compared it to a lot of other electrics and it has a unique sound that is very good. I don't know if it is the 25 fret neck but it produces gut shaking lows when I put it through my Zoom effects pedal and set it on hard rock.

From what I've seen, you are sending it to the right place.
MWoody is an ARTIST.
