Location: Paris/France | Yesterday, it was a special day for me.
I've met my friend Edouard for the first time and Kaki was in Paris for her show.
Edouard and I have played guitar together during all the afternoon and after, we've take the car to "La Cigale" to see Kaki.
Just one word about her performance: AMAZING!!!!!
It was purely incredible!!! She has played on a lapsteel guitar and with her black Adamas. What a great sound!!!
The audience was there for "Jude" (the "main" artist of the show) and they have made a real Ovation to Kaki!!! A nice and rare moment for Edouard and me because we were only there for Kaki (not for Jude...).
We were so pleased to see that the audience really appreciate her music.
After the show, we have wait at the bar ;) near two hours to meet her. And she gave us the privilege to exchange some words together, to take a photo and to give us an autograph even if she was very tired!!!
What a kindness!!! :)
Like you know, my English is really poor and I was very impressed to be in front of her.
The conversation was something like that:
"Hello, Euhhh, I'm Jérôme, Euhhh, It was a great show, Euhhh, I'm very glad to meet you, Euhhh.....Etc...".
I've had the feeling to be an idiot...  :D
Finally, we've take the car back to our respectives houses with a lot of emotions and the head full with music.
Yesterday really was a great day. :) :)

| Jerome I am ashamed of you. You are standing that close behind Kaki and you didn't get arrested? How often do you expect these opportunities to happen in your life? |

I'm jealous :D !!
Jerome told everything, it was a fantastic show ! :)
Hearing Kaki on a CD is already incredible, but seeing her playing live is very very impressive and fantastic !
No doubt she'll go very high and for a long time !
I'm waiting for her next income in Paris !!
It was very kind from her to come to us after the show.
Many thank's to her !
I won't forget this day, adding that the afternoon with Jerome was very sympathic. You already know him as a kind person, I could attest it is half true : he is VERY a kind person (and a great cooker too ;) ) ! |

In 2003, Alpep became the "Honorary Adopted Son of Popcritic."
He immediately asked me to send his allowance!

Wow!!!!! Super nice pictures and it sounds like you two had a great time. Man, i didn;t realized Kaki King was, well, that short, sorry. I guess it is true. Great things come in small packages. hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
The only thing is, i would have asked to put my fingers on that Adamas King real quick, who knows, Edouard looks like he was close enough to that beauty. I would just like to know how it feels to play on it, the weight, the balance...ect
It looks like something special, that guitar.
Thank you very much
