I'm sure he'll tell us the number, it does look very nice. I can't recall what the repair was that gave the two plug holes on the neck. Doesn't really matter, it's a great guitar and sounds great I bet.

This is an incredible guitar but Elias didn't sell it for the moment!!!
It's good news for me.
I have more time to save money... :D

I've asked Elias the # number. I'm sure he will answer me. It's really a very nice guy.

Jérôme :)

Would this really be considered "gold"??

While I realize that (especially with these guitars) that pics can be deceiving (even pics of the SAME guitar in different situations), but t'me it almost appears to be a somewhat faded blue that's heavily glitter-laden.

Was there a "gold" one made?? (Bill?)

I checked through "TheList" and tried to find a notation for "gold" and couldn't find any . . .

DID find, though :

". . The colors were 6 red, 8 beige, 19 blue and 1 brown . ." = 34

It's a -7. The "glitter" used on the -8 was blue, silver and gold and on the -2 they were red, silve and gold. The -7 was probably just gold, maybe some silver. I think each coat was sprayed separately so that is why there is variation (Mackin can verify since he sprayed them). Also time and aging will make these be different, like the -7 that looks almost white.

I would guess that this is number 38 because of the white inlays. It could be 46 or 51 but those would probably have gold inlays.

Then this is probably 38. Can you verify Art's since you're out that way?

My guess is that it's a regular -7 but the pickguard yellowed. Elias then had the top painted to match the pickguard. Dave

Can I ask a dumb Question?? I mean I am sure I am capable I am just wondering if it is OK?

How does Elias get so many of these Super Rare Adamas Guitars? Does he have a list of who bought them from the factory and he drops the owners a line from time to time to see if they are in the market to sell?

Nothing wrong with Elias having them.. I am just honestly curious as to how any one person can come up with so many of these old slotheads. ?????

They're called walnut plugs.

I received a couple of emails last week from Elias regarding a guitar I had listed on eBay. He seemed unusually pleasant so I figure he must be taking his meds.

Would be a nice color for the OFC guitar ... even has the two knobber preamp.

Oops, sorry Al.

As I understand from Jerome, he has not yet decided to sell this guitar. Probably waiting for the price to get high enough. Can't blame him. He's been an Ovation fan for a long time and knows a ton about the guitars. He's probably had this a long time (just a guess. They were much easier to get 10 years ago, cheaper too!)

Those dots are walnut plugs but I'm not sure what the repair was that needed them. Whatever it was is obviously fixed so I don't think they're anything to even consider at this point.
