Location: Upper Left USA | I saw the signs. I recognized the clues and inuendos.
I bid and won anyway. Now I am awaiting the Paypal process for getting my money back and not receiving anything but anxiety over an auction.
Bid $400 on an Elite T with case. The Seller used stock pics and a plagarized description. Seller had a feedback rating of 5 and had been on Ebay for over 2 years. Since I got a reasonable excuse for no pictures from the Seller I thought - OK. Gutterball_21 is the Seller. Paypal and email is styleseast@yahoo.com. I checked his feedback and he has received 5 positives. I looked for his return feedback and there was none!
Seller's Paypal account wouldn't accept payment. Two days go by, he gives me his Girlfriends Paypal account. Themoongrrrl@yahoo.com has an interesting webpage to say theleast. Immediate processing. Two more days go by and he sends email on a Friday that he will ship Monday, nothing else.
Then quiet.
I hate quiet!
I send email with four ways to contact me only to be followed by more quiet! I hate Quiet!
So, eight days after said ship date I file with Paypal and will have to wait throught the "item not received" process.
So my purpose for telling is two-fold.
#1 Learn from my mistake, stay away from questionable auctions.
#2 Don't offer any cool guitars for sale until I get my money back!!!
And, BTW - the Sellers are from Jersey! |

I'm Still waiting for that FD14. It was supposed to have shipped last Thrusday. I have left multiple emails asking for a tracking number from the seller and not a peep. His communication during the payment process was delayed and just got more so through the shipping process.
Long and short of it...He has 1250 of my dollars...and all I have is his word that the guitar was going to be shipped last Thursday...and he has yet to confirm that it was shipped or provide a tracking number so I could follow up.
He's from Fort Wayne, IN
He has a lot of 100% positive feedback, but if that guitar doesn't show up in the next day or if he doesn't confirm shipping with a tracking number...The world will know about it. |

I have over 2K successful e bay transactions and a 99 percent rating.
but it does pay to buy from someone you know even if you pay more.

Just for future reference, do you just find people, or do you break their knee caps as well? And if you do, is it extra?? |

Paypal is a lot like using a Visa card. They charge more than enought to cover the percentage ofjetsam. |

The problem is NOT ebay or paypal. These services work perfectly fine for 99.9% of the users. There are signs to avoid shadey deals or dealers or buyers. Would you go into a local shop with paper covering the windows, empty shelves, no legitimate business license, and hand them money for some musical instrument sight un-seen? I doubt it. Learn the warning signs and heed their advice, even though your gut says "but I really WANT it". As Al says, the best deals are not always the best deals, you get what you pay for, if its too good to be true then it's probably not true, blah, blah, blah ... |

The Aluminium Bat would make a cool sound, but I gotta stay with the 3 wood... for the faster head speed and extreme localization of impact. |

| This is bad news BB. The guy deserves to lose one knee just for not answering all your emails. The electric power-drill has been the IRA's weapon of choice for kneecaps for the last 30 years, and those guys know a thing or two about inflicting punishments.
And it would definitely be Community Service. Try and get the case heard in Converse. |

I believe my seller has an album available on iTunes. No kidding. I have done some tracking and think I have actually located him. He tours... but...not for much longer if I don't get some response or a Guitar very soon. I will be happily devulging his information, all publically available, in a short while.
I might could use Mrs. Schroeder's talents on this project.

I leave tonight for bit of business all day tomorrow. I will give him tomorrow to either confirm shipping or for the guitar to arrive. If neither happens, I just might send you an email.
I'm still hoping he is just lazy, extremely busy or a bit absent minded.
Thanks man. |

Paypal says that the Seller contacted them:
"The seller has provided the following information in response to your complaint, indicating that the item was shipped.
Tracking Company: UPS
Tracking Number: 1z087e880343115918"
They never contacted me.
Let's watch and see if anything shows up in the mail! |

Location: Warren, OH | I bought a case from a seller on e-bay in late November. Paid immediately by paypal and heard from him via email (gave him the address for the case to ship to since it was a gift). Never got any confirmation and heard nothing for about three weeks, so I tried contacting him via his phone number - it was disconnnected. Finally opened up a paypal claim and they were able to get about $10 bucks back.
About a week shy of a month, he emails me and said that the case was on the way. It showed up a couple of days later and had been shipped FedEx... |

Location: Earth·SolarSystem·LocalInterstellarCloud·Local Bub | The seller of the FD14 actually did call my cell phone this past Monday telling me he had "forgotten" to send the guitar the previous Thrusday. However, as happens for some unkown reason on ocassion, the message on my cell was delayed, and I didn't receive the message until after the guitar arrived late Wednesday. He did send the guitar 2nd day, instead of ground, on his own dime due to his mistake. He was very apologetic on his message.
I've decided to keep the 3 wood in the bag and not tear him up with negative feedback...give him the benefit of the doubt,,,I've made worse mistakes. |

If I went to the Fishmarket and expected an email prior to a delivery I would be the one out of whack.
But if you go to an online auction you should expect immediate and consistent communications. I know there some people that just avoid PC and such. Just stay off of ebay! |

| Hey let me know if any of these sellers are from Upstate NY.
If not make sure you open a Dispute through ebay this is easy to find right in your MY EBAY section. Then file a "Non Performing Seller" complaint on them! This is harder to find but if you look hard enough in the buyers tools you'll find it! This will get you some of your money back through ebay and it will get the seller suspended for good if the price is high enough! Good luck guy's! this procees take a lot of time but Ebay does help no matter how you paid these guy's. PAypal can help as well if this is the way you paid. |

Location: Upper Left USA | A Guitar-like box has been delivered to my house this a.m. amd drug inside by my daughter.
I am at work and won't be home until 5:00 p.m. PST.
What is wrong with this picture?
Will the contents of this box contain an EliteT in relatively good condition or a box of rocks coated in Ricin?
Will there be an apology or other explaination of why this was so difficult?
Stay tuned! Film by 11:00! |

In the interest of saving poor old Norsey from death by GAS or Spousal Stare Syndrome I make the following offer.
My 1598CG and the contents of the mystery box that waits for me at home for the 1537 and the Walnut 12 string you have for sale!
You will have a sparkling Adamas 12 string and a good story to tell whatever the outcome! I will have two nice Ovations and the comfort of knowing that Norsey is allowed in the same house he pays the mortgage for! |

One each 1778T and OHSC. Dirty but not overused. Two small dings on binding top area. Pre-amp - OP 30 works fine.
Sounds excellent even with old strings.
Cost: $435 and anxiety. Still a good deal!
I am trying to contact the Sender (Girlfriend's Parent?) to get the story before leaving feedback.
Gotta go play my guitar now! |

My humble apologies to Paul Blanchard for something said in one of my early posts. Something like "truck undercoating" I think. The effect is great and I would take this guitar anywhere!
Originally I bought it with the intention of selling and advancing up the food stream.
Just not for sale today :D |
