Location: Sydney, Australia | It's hard to know for sure as (by definition) time has passed, but I think that my W597 opened up over a few years.
I suspect that an Adamas would take longer to open up as the wood in the top is sandwiched in between two layers of carbon fibre which may hold the moisture in the wood longer. |

Location: Earth·SolarSystem·LocalInterstellarCloud·Local Bub | It's a different process altogether. Mine never "opened up" appreciably. But I think a reasonable argument could be made that consistent play would cause a certain "loosening-up", plus adhesives would become harder over time... |

Question for those who bought smooth top Adamas new
