 | Actually, it's 44 (invented in '64, first patent in '70). 
 First system with an integrated mouse was the Xerox 8010 Star workstation in 1981. Ironically Xerox didn't see the future potential in it, and the first personal computer to ship with a mouse was the Apple in 1984 - basically a PC version of the Star - effectively putting Xerox out of the computer business...
 
 ...but I still prefer the Logitech wireless Trackball I use at work...
