Location: UK - Canterbury Kent | I have a 1778-LX-BCB Elite with a serial number 581241.
Now that I have taken out the three shims from the bridge, it plays really well and sounds great.
I took delivery on the 30th April 2004 and I am sure it was one of the first here in England. I had to wait 12 weeks for delivery.
Can any one tell me when the Elite LX production started and what the starting serial number was.

The LX was premiered in the Jan 04 NAMM and serial numbers were surely intermixed with all the others.
I believe they make most guitars in batches or runs of similar type and tooling.
I have 580045 which I received in February of 04 from Al Pep.
There are pictures of Kim Keller and his single epaulet inlaid LX Prototype that proofed the OP PRO!

Location: 6 String Ranch | I'm not sure how much it would mean to know the first aLeX s/n. They were mixed in with regular production, still are and the numbers are given as they come down the line, what ever they are. The factory would have to tell you what number they were at around the time of introduction. |
