I've wondered now...what are the production numbers of USA Ovations. Around these parts, the Blue Ridge Mountain of NC. Ovations are far and few between at grass/jazz jams, etc. However I will say it works for me flatpicking when I need to. Even enjoy gypsy jazz..It can even sound allot like a Selmer playing melodies sometimes with its midrange tone. The new LX bracing is pretty loud and woody sounding. Plugged in with a bit of mike mixed in..it kills allot of the Martin/Gibson/or whatever dreadnaught competition.

But anyway just don't see many around. How about you folks...in the cities and places? What venues, jams, etc...Are there many Ovations out there?

From my limited experience, the answer is NO. But I personally think that is a good thing. I constantly get lots of great comments like, "wow, what a great guitar!" So in my mind, being a little unusual is very positive. Also, from my standpoint, Ovation does the best job of blending art with performance meaning they make the most attractive guitars that sound awesome.
