Location: Asheville, NC | I will be away on vacation for about a month in February :)
Outside Temperatures in my area are typically in the 40-50 range during the day and the 20-30 range at night. Humidity is probably in the 60 percent or less area.
I was wondering what the ideal storage conditions are for the Ovation. Mine ia a 1778LX Elite which I just purchased.
Obviously I will keep it in the case, but will house temperature and/or indoor humidity really affect it much.
I was planning on dropping the thermostat down in the 60 range while away.
Just wondering since this is my first Ovation.
Thanks in advance for any feedback,
Jim |

Any temperature extremes should be avoided but heat will do more damage than cold, and too little humidty is generally worse than too much, optimum humidity for guitar storage is around 45% |

Location: NC | For a month cased should be fine if indoors in your house. I keep my guitars in my basement which is a finished studio room and temp. remains around 68' and about 65% humidity.
Still need to get together.............would like to see that 1778LX!
