The Adamas I has a resonance measurement that becomes part of the serial number. From what I have heard of, usually somewhere between 86-93, maybe 95.

Just got in a 1981 Adamas I #1687 that has a 101.

Haven't had time to change the strings so hard to compare against my other 1687 with a 93.

Earlier, I thought a lower number might have more bass. Now, not so sure as even with older strings - nice range, beautiful voice.

What's the story here...obviously it means something as it is measured and recorded for each guitar.

Got a 1979 #1687 coming in tomorrow that's a 93.

Any ideas?

I think it was CWK2 that discussed that rating some time ago, very interesting, maybe he will come in here and do it again, if not, try a search but I am not sure of the term to use, maybe someone will help here.
