Let us know how the maple top sounds, especially with the shallow bowl. Heck, maybe you can even answer the question about plugged-in sound regardless of top or body. ;) | ||

Joined: June 2002 Posts: 6202 Location: Phoenix AZ | I think the difference in the peghead, other than the logo, is the Adamas II has a 3 ply facing and one of the plys is black. Plus the fingerboad is walnut. I didn't have a shallow bowl or an elite or a cutaway 12-string or a sunburst finish guitar, so this will satisfy a few "needs". At least temporarily. I'll let you know about the sound. I'm not expecting much compared to my deep non-cutaway Adamas II 12-string, which is a real boomer, but we'll see. Probably for a gigging guitar (I think my last gig was '74 in the school gym), this should be pretty nice. | ||

I didn't notice the black ply ... looks really nice and it's also the way the headstock on the 1537 is. I thought the fretboard on this was was rosewood from the look in the pics, but then again I'm somewhat botanically challenged. It also looks like it's a floating fretboard? No matter, that's one nice guitar! | ||
