However, there were no Taylors and maybe a few Martins. Just a poor showing for acoustic guitars in general. The're were quite a few vendors selling their own brand of Arch-Top guitars for $8,000 to $15,000 a pop! A lot of old gibson electrics seemed to be the most prevelant item. Most dissapointing was I didn't see Al there. Tommy

I was blown away by the quantity of guitars, but I was able to zip through fast enough that Michele didn't get bored. Not much to grab my attention, but then, I wasn't there to buy. Saw an interesting brand of acoustic guitar...Al would remember the name, I can't...anyway, the neck joint was adjustable-to raise or lower the action instantly with an allen wrench. It didn't tilt the neck in any way, just raised or lowered the height of the whole neck. Interesting concept, but I didn't like the sound of the guitar. Saw Al, Sue and Miles there. Great company, as always! Johnny

I was surprised at the number of Ovation solidbody and Storm series guitars. A Condor, Eclipse, Preacher, two Breadwinners and a Magnum that I can remember spread across 4 dealers. In prior shows I would celebrate when I would see just one solidbody. Didn't see a lot of buying and selling and not real bargains, but there were a lot of guitars. Also ran into Timm Kummer (who's interview with Al you can find in the members area) and several other folks I did not expect to see.

How bout the strings being attached over the width of the top of the guitar, to give more sound vibration. Each individual string was anchored to the top 5 inches from the bridge, spread out across the top. That was wild. I agree, it didn't sound all that great, course I'm biased toward O's. Tommy
