Did anyone else catch this weekend's ACL season opener? They had Fogerty on for the whole hour. Man, he has beady little eyes. And why does Green River sound like Suzie Q? ;) But, I must admit, I laughed loudly when he sang 'Theres a bathroom on the right' and actually pointed.

It was like watching the Apprentice. I can't keep my eyes off of Trump's hideous combover. He would look better with a dead raccoon on top of his head. It was hard to enjoy Fogerty's music, when I could'nt take my eyes off his hair. With the exception of Wayne Newton, I don't think I've seen a more ridiculous dye job. The beady eyes I noticed too. No doubt a result of a botched face lift or too much botox.

Yeah...I caught that, too! Didn't catch the whole hour, but what I saw was mostly enjoyable; he played a different guitar for almost every song - that almost got distracting; I wonder what it would be like to actually be there and see him switch guitars that often? He must have some affection for Music Man guitars, which kinda surprised me...thought I'd see standard Strats and Tele's instead.

I didn't see the whole hour, as the bosslady is addicted to CSI and Law & Order. ;) But, I did see Fogerty play a couple of Les Pauls, a Tele, that Music Man EVH looking thing and an acoustic (Taylor or Martin?). It did seem like he changed off pretty regularly. The P90 Gibby he was playing sounded nice, but who knows what effects he's going through.

I had to explain to the missus why 'there's a bathroom on the right' was so funny. She thought that was the real lyric. Sometimes I wonder if marrying someone so much younger was such a good idea. (yeah, it was )

Tell that to Billy Joel ... or Paul McCartney.

Hrmm, I think Billy Joel's problems may have been a manifestation of the clash between two inflated egos rather than an age difference. McCartney, I dunno...are you talking about his late wife or the current one? Is he having trouble with this years model? I so don't keep up on this stuff...maybe I should. :)

I thought that was Jerry Dougles, but his playing seemed so restrained, and then I didn't see his name in the credits?
