Just leafing through the new issue of GuitarWorld - PopCritic - your daughter is on page 52 - congrats - you should be proud!!!

They also have Nancy Wilson playing a 1977 Ovation, but claiming she plays a Guild - go figure!!!

I would imagine Nancy owns lots of guitars. In concert recently she's been playing a takamine.
She Played Ovations Up Front for a very long time.
artists change from time to time. I don't find it all that strange, but ina way it's sad because Ovation misses a prime opportunity to continue High Visability with Heart.

Oh yeah. If she's playing Guilds or Taks, I'm thinking of making the change. Whatever she says....

Thanks for the heads up Dano. It's the first I've heard of it. Is she in an Ovation ad or something?

It's an excellent article titled "School of Rock". Andy Aledorf interviews some folks about their first or earliest encounters with acoustic guitars. You may have heard of some of these folks - Pete Townshend, Sheryl Crow, Slash, Jimmy Page and Kaki King among the greats!!!

Kaki says " I started playing when I was four years old on a little bitty Peop - that was the brand name - four-string acoustic. I took lessons for about a year and a half from a woman named Maxine, but didn't listen to enough music to really love the guitar, so I quit. Lucky for me, though, my dad kept this Chiquita short-scale six-string electric guitar around the house, and when I started playing that I saw the light".

Did your meds wear off or is that in reference to some underappreciated instrument you let fade into the gone forever? Or is it Maxine?

Saw the issue btw, it was cool to read those articles but it left you wanting more!

Hopefully it was nothing more than the mention of Sheryl Crow (one of these things doesn't belong here, one of these things....) in the same sentence as Pete and Jimmy :D
