I learned about Keb Mo via this site (among a few other great musicians), pretty much thanks to the announcement of Kaki opening for his tour. I had no idea who he was or what his music was like. Thankfully, the library had his latest cd, keep it simple, so I borrowed it. WOW! I loved it.

I've since purchased several of his cds, and dig them too. The other day we rented his Sessions At West 54th DVD, and I highly recommend it. What a fantastic blues guitar player and great performer. I really appreciate his humor and peaceful manner, and the quiet confidence of his playing-which reminded me in essence of James Taylor...not in style of music, but the spaciousness in the music and effortless, brilliant musicianship. If you are ever able to check that DVD out, it's fantastic.

I've seen Keb Mo three times, always a great show! The first time was here in Ft. Worth, it was in December and the admission was bring a toy that went to a local charity for kids.
I've seen him with a band and solo and both were great.

I think Kevin Moore makes very good music, he's a great singer, a good songwriter & a very tidy slide-player. I find the "name" he chooses to use, or if the stories are correct, the name that Sony Music made him use in order to validate his ethnic origin not only unneccesary but also somewhat demeaning and racist. The single apostrophe also makes it grammaticaly incorrect, but now I'm just nit-picking

Paul, I think you forgot some punctuation at the end of the last sentence.

Also, put a period after music and capitalize the "H" in "He's." :D

He plays Nationals and I seem to remember a Keb Mo signature model Martin. Which wouldn't surprise me, everyone else has one, regardless of whether they play Martins or not.

Actually he has played a style O national and a 12 fret epiphone when I've seen him, and he's been great all 4 times. A Yam dreadnaught for one tune also.
He has a Hamer but I don't know how well they followed up on this, the marketing/ arnist relations people were questioning if he was important enough to invest endorsee time on. HELLO ?!?!?!?!?!

My nieces husband (Clayton Gibb) is Kevins guitar tech and also plays with him and it's really amazing to have him set up my guitars... The name Keb Mo came from his childhood... That's what his friends called him.. He's a great guy and works his ass off performing all over the world.. If you get a chance to go see him, you'll really enjoy the stories he tells inside the songs...

i wish we could get him here. we are still waiting for a reply from don ho to see if he can come during high season since ricky nelson had to cancel a few years ago. i think he is dissing us.

that's why a three chord hack like me can get on stage here.

Yeah Cliff, but they won't let him into the U.S., so he can only play in Maine...

I'm aware of that.
But Russ was referring to Mexico.
Go south on Main Street . . . . you'll run into it eventually . . .
