Joined: August 2004 Posts: 6 Location: Texas | Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself. I love Ovations and have owned one since about 1981. I had stopped playing for about 10 years due to intense school, building a house, getting married, new little girl, you get the idea. Anyway, I started playing again about six months ago and realized how much I missed it (and forgot). So that's my story in a nut shell. I look forward to talking to everyone and sharing my stuff as well as learning from others.

TRy the search and gallery features! You are part of a "mess" of Texans on this board. More'n likely they'll drop in soon! Peace

I suspect lots of us have similar stories about putting down our guitars for a long time to tend to more serious life matters. Glad you're back and on this board. I know you're far away, but consider the '05 Factory tour next year. We had a blast! Oh...by the way...You and Bill have something in common: occupation - yep. John <>{

Canada), I have a Texas "connection"; one of my uncles, an eye surgeon, moved to Palestine, Texas, years ago. You do know you have to be certifiably deranged to belong to the Ovation Fan Club, don't you? We'll be checking your certification papers soon.

Someone will mod me 'redundant' now, I suppose. :)

Carrying an Ovation should make you acceptable if you come to visit, as long as you don't go into a restaurant and shout "Doesn't anybody here speak American so's I can get a hamburger?" this usually will lead to the line in the song "I heard Jose say, You're in trouble plenty." PS it is hard to find a gringo talker in the best joints. Welcome amigo Bailey
