Location: Detroit area | Due to an unfortunate accident/damage, I am having the factory replace the top on my Cadillac Green 1769 Custom Legend. Are they usually quicker than their "time-to-return" estimates??
Thanks! |

My experience is that they come in pretty close to what they quote for turn around time. They make these quotes knowing 1) they've done the same repair many, many times before and know very well what is involved and 2) they know how much work is waiting ahead of yours in queue. So my advice would be to have patience (I know its difficult), and look forward to the fact that it will be well worth the wait. Some things you just don't want to rush - haircut, dentist, guitar repair. DAve |

I would echo the sentiments of my learned colleagues. I waited about 12 weeks for my 1127 repairs. When you prorate that against the next 20 years- well, do the math. |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | Yeah, I'm hip there, Al. Personally, I would change the color. If you're going to the trouble (and expense) to replace the top, let the top be somewhere close to natural. Obscuring the grain of a fine piece of cedar (yeah, why not?!) would be a shame. |

They replaced the top to my CA...took about 4 weeks. Kim did a fabulous job! Was worth the wait. |
