Hello,
Newbie here! Is there any info on how to fix a crack in the finish on the surface of my guitar. any info will be highly appreciative whether it's negative or not, it looks like somebody dropped it on the strap peg and caused the crack in the finish above it? the crack is about 3'' long and barely visible, didn't notice it until I got in daylight, the music store had low light which is why I didn't see the crack{lesson learned there!} when I bought it!
TIA elitified

If it's just in the finish you could probably leave it. I did have one on my 84 C-Series and they fixed it at the factory so it can be done so long as it's not in the wood. That can be fixed too but it's a bigger repair. For the finish crack on mine they just scribed the crack and filled it with superglue then sanded and rebuffed. It is just slightly visable now in the right light but not a big deal at all.

recommend you leave it be and keep an eye on it. If it spreads send back to factory....

Had the same thing happen to me....ultimately....it (crack) spread and actually went into the wood and opened up pretty good due to moving around the world in all types weather conditions. Had to send it back to factory and Kim replaced entire sound board......now guitar is better than when I first got it 30 years ago.

I hope it don't spread being I'm not the original owner, it would probably cost a few bucks to have it repaired. elitified
