First of all: Hi everyone, i've been away for a few months now, primarily due to too little time and too much else on my hands. Came back and saw the serverproblems. Dang. Good to see everything up and running again. Thanx Miles.

Anyway: I found/made some time to do some recording with my SMT. I'd like to hear your opinions. Song is called 'Happy Bananas' and you can find it here:

Anyway, i hope to be able to contribute to this BBS again, getting into some quiet waters again as it is.

Thnx for still being there,

Martin

Welcome back Groovedude.

Where as I have never understood where Jazz Musicians get the names for their songs I have always enjoyed the "Fat" sound of strings! Very cool the way the lead changes tone through the tune.

Good to see you!

I am listening to "Happy Bananas" as I type this. I like it! I like the clean SMT.Very nice humbucker sound too. Les Paul or PRS?

Thanks for the tune!

Sounds great, Martin. Sounds like the SMT was recorded direct to board. Smooth, man, smooth!

Thanx guys!

@MWoody: Well, I had to call it something. :) I figured this one was as good a name as any. I'll consider the next one to be called MWoody. ;)

@wemedge: (blushing a bit) I'm happy you think it's a PRS or a Les Paul, but in fact the humbucker lead guitar is a Korean Cort M520 I bought second hand for 170 euros two months ago just to try it. I don't think it will leave my house again, it's money well spent, i reckon. They sure learnt how to build guitars overthere...

@iconocoustica: The adamas was indeed recorded directly to board. I prefer that leadsound over miking it. It's a bit more mellow, without the overtones a good mic would pick up.
