But many guitar players I talk with don't even know who he is. In fact, I don't know anyone, other than you guys, who are fans. Pretty cool. J

Is it just musicianship, influence on the genre, attitude? A couple of great rock musicians who aren't normally sited for rock'n roll are Prince and Zappa. Even Roy Clarke used to "shred" long before it had a name. Like lists? 100 Greatest Rock Guitarists

Technical expertise? Creative improvization? Best at making money? Influence on music? What type of music? You get the idea. Some favorites are Chet and Les, Mark Knopfler, Chuck, BB, Phil Keaggy, Steve Howe is very gifted, Carlos, Frank Zappa, EC has made a name for himself, Wes Montgomery, Jimi.... These are just some of my favorites. I don't pretend to say they're best at anything, except makeing me smile.
