| I received two very good dvds today and I've been playing through selected songs.
1. Cat Stevens - Majikat (Earth Tour 1976)
For an old concert the sound quality is excellent. I'm not sure how they managed it but it is astonishing how good it sounds. He really plays well and his voice sounds good as well. What kind of Ovation is that? Surprisingly good!
2. Fleetwood Mac in Boston
After "The Dance" I thought this DVD would be kinda unnecessary, but it is very entertaining. Lindsey's playing is a little manic, but man can he play. |

For my suggestions, "The Who, Royal Albert Hall" (John E's last gig) and... The newly re-mastered "The Kids Are Alright" documentary.

| Slipkid, I have The Who dvd you mention. Great performance, but the constant camera changes and fast editing drops it a notch for me. |

You are so right about the quick cut editing. Love the performance though. Have you seen the "Lifehouse" dvd? It's just Townshend backed by an orchestra.

Location: Madison, Wisconsin | The Majikat CD is incredible. I bought it a few weeks ago after it was mentioned here on the board. I've never seen so many ovations on stage at one time. The music is very good and the interviews on the CD with Yusuf Islam are, actually, very interesting. I even got my 17yr old son(he's into punk/grundge) to sit and watch it with me. |

Location: Madison, Wisconsin | I just watched/listened to the DVD again and noticed that his guitar has two sets of controls. Looks like there's a knob near the neck as well as some controls adjacent to the bridge. Anybody have any ideas? |
