| I know I have mentioned it in another message but I want to let you younger guy's know and especially some of you guy's who are new to Acoustics or Plugged in Music. I am working with a new Peavey EFX 112 Amp. This thing is the NUTZ! I'm not kiddin! It has three channels with all the effects you will want for an Acoustic! Chorus, Rev, Phaser, Delay, Even a leslie rotating speaker sound! One channel is for Vocals again the effects are really high quality? There is anti-feedback suppression! It is a bi-amp with 100w to the low and mid range and 25w to the high range stuff! 12" coaxial speaker. This thing cranks in a big room! and it is clear and crisp in the sound room! I ran a Gibson LP through it for shits & giggles and it aint a Marshall stack, but using a clean channel and no effects pedal the raw Gibson sound was true! There are 2 5 band EQ banks, Nice vintage look and it is heafty but not to big for lugging around! There is also a footpedal set up for it as well? I did not get this am considering it? I am most impressed with this one! They are out there but make sure you get this newer model! IT has so much more high tech stuff than the older models. Cost varries but is around $550- $650! Well worth the money! I have not tried ever Acoustic Amp there is but I have never heard My Ovations sound quite like this before! Wow! You can't believe the 12 string through this! It sounds like three guitars playing!

I'm not familiar with the EFX series, as I have an oldish Bandit 112 Transtube and an even older Mark III Centurion head w/17" E-V in a custom (read: hack job) cabinet.
Is the 112 EFX designed for acoustics or is it a 'general' guitar amp? I've tried to play my Elite through my Bandit 112, but I can't seem to get the EQ flat enough for it to sound right...just sounds, uh, wrong. I know it's not the guitar, as I played it through a Strawberry Blonde before I dropped the coin and it sounded fantastic. |

This Peavey Amp is completly designed for Acoustics! and Vocals! I am not kidding? I too have not been able, even with effects, to get the sound I wanted with these Adamas's until now! Now, when I play, I have to look behind me to see if it's someone else? I wanted to post a note to let this Acoustic bunch know this is a real good amp for the money! Much better than their EfX 110 model. And this newer version is much better than their older E112FX model. Find one at a store bring your Ovation in and plug in you'll see! I am sure there are other Amps that can give this sound, but the price is not to bad on this and it's a Peavey They are built to take the constant pounding of Gigging! Randy |

There seems to be a possible reliability problem.... hope you dont' have any of the listed problems with it!

There are a lot of reviews of the older models on the web? Check the dates? I saw a few before I got this and was worried about it, then I went back and checked some of the ones I was reading were written in the mid 1990's. This amp is a new model and I am not one of the experts here but I'll tell ya true my Acoustics have never sounded this good, ever, I am willing to put this amp up against a good mic and a PA system with effects! this thing is incredible! Look for the 100w version with 3 channels, the older ones had 2 channels and 65watts and no anti-feedback and limited effects? The vocal channel is great in the sound room for practice but, of course, is lacking in a big room. I think with some experimenting it would be fine for stage use if microphoned correctly? Not good at this yet though need to read some of the old threads about mic's. There is a lot more to them than I thought. But Ahhhhhh we have the Sages on this list and man it is good to here from these guy's from time to time. They already know all this crap! Randy |

| Yes This is the "Ecoustic 112" didn't even know Peavey had another acoustic amp called the 112? Hughh? seems odd Peavey would bother? Well Enough advertising for Peavey Just wanted the guy's & Girls on this site to know it's a good one! Randy |
