This Morning after I dropped my Mother-In-Law off at the Airport I dropped By Music and Arts in Cary,NC. I'm Glad I did!! It Turns Out that they had Some O's on the wall!! 2 Applause models, 1 Elite T Shallow Bowl, 1 Legend Shallow Bowl, and 3 Ovation LX's- 1 Standard Elite LX, 1 Standard Balladeer LX and 1 LegendLX. Needless to say I played them all. The LX's really sang. Played the Standard Elite LX Then The Balladeer LX. The Standard Elite Sounded Great, better than I remember..But The BalladeerLX really seemed to blow it out of the water. The LegendLX was sweet as well. I wish they had the EliteLX to try out.
The great part was the price Teh Standard Elite LX was on sale for $799 with case,...and The Balladeer LX was on sale for $699 with case.
Even the Legend LX was on sale for 899 with case.
Don't know why the great prices on the LX models..
They Didn't look like 2nds or even Demos, I suspect they're just haveing a sale on Ovations.
It was nice that the models were in Plain sight and reachable and that you could play them with out anybody hovering around you.
It was not a large Store..But it was worth the trip..and the sales Guy had alot of nice things to Say about Ovations and Kaman in general.
It was a very Nice Trip! Too Bad I had to come into Work today..I'll have to Make another trip to Cary, NC sometime soon.

Tony,
Did I slow down??? Well Yeah I actually Parked and even helped her get her boarding pass! :D
I was thinking about it.. Guitar Centeris advertising a sale on Ovation Guitars..maybe they just thought they's jump on the bandwagon to compete..Last time I was at a Guitar Center I was not overly impressed with the Number of Ovations They had or the fact that they were all spread out and a couple actually hidden on stands behind two other brand of guitars in front. I actually liked this store, while not as large as the GC, the staff made up for in personality. Music And Arts is a chain, but I'm not sure how large the chain is.
