Location: Burbank | No, sex was not involved! I have not been to the Hollywood guitar center in a while, but today I went at lunch time. They re-arranged things so when I get there, there is not an Ovation in site....where they used to be. The Ovations had a.....are you ready.....get your blood pressure medicine.......sit down.......take a deep breath! They were in a display island all by themselves in the middle of the room right when you walk into the room!!!!!!!WHEW! They has a 1771LX, a 1777LX a 6778LX, and 30th anniversary!!!! I was shaking, didn't know which one to pick up first I played them all (of course). I LOVED the 30th anniversary the most. Undescribable sound. Then, the 1771LX the neck was excellent, then the 1777LX. I have never been a fan of elites, but the 6778LX was the best sounding one I have ever tried. I walked around in another room they had a 90' legend 1777 for $1400 (goodluck). Here's the best one, they had a 1658 legend with a Glen Campbell TRC that was listed as a Glen Campbell 12 string for, get this $1700! It had a 4" and a 2" crack in the wood. That was too much to handle in one visit. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Sounds like our resident P.I. must have roughed them up a little bit and maybe threatened (errr - offered) to have the feds look into their books a little bit unless they got their Ovation act together.
Of course I can hear the jokes now - Let's put Ovation on an Island so the real guitars don't actually have to come in contact with them. Wouldn't want any of those plastic bowls contaminating the wood room.
Seriously, this is GREAT news for Ovation and her Fans alike. So Mario - which model did you Buy ??? |

Location: Burbank | Unfortunately none. If I could I'd buy the CL 30! It was just so sweet and great sounding. I have to say though, the LX neck had a really good feel to it. I may be getting rid 'o something to buy something, ya'know since with a kid starting college this fall an out-right purchase it out of the question now! |

You got a better deal than me....mine new from "123" was $889....included case and free shipping. I love the thing.
Keller really did a nice job on refurbishing my ovation classical....I've had since 1976. He put a brand new sound board/top on it..sounds great and looks great as well. |
