Location: Coaldale Pennsylvania | First, how hard would it be to fix a loose switch on a Magnum (My last magnum question, I swear). Mine is loose, and every once and while if I don't have it centered (Like if I'm playing with just the bridge) it will pop back to the center position. I'd like to fix it, but if its really going to be a hassle I'd rather keep it as is and still have a bass to play instead of taking it apart and not be able to play for a while
Secondly, I'm looking to get an Accousic bass (Obviously an Ovation since I'm here) and I'm curious as to which model's I should be looking at |

I like that one, I was a great aficiando of fresh water fish when I lived in Ohio. My neighbor and I used to go out on Lake Erie and catch Perch, small but tasty, go home, clean maybe 50 of them and have a feast with Stroh's beer. Stroh's was great in the late 50's and the fried Perch was unbeatable. Bass and Bluegill were as goodif not better and a lot more fun to catch.

Being from California, we don't have White Castle (except in the frozen foods section of the market) so it's some of the "local flavor" one has to try when they get East. Sorta like hitting the Waffle House when you're in the SouthEast. Like the snow and the humidity, it's something we like to leave behind when we come home. :D |

Stroh's and White Castle. Hrmm...you get the Stroh's flows and the sliders all in one shot.
When I was much younger, and required the services of a 'buyer,' we usually had three choices:
Stroh's
Goebels
Altes
At $2.49/case of Altes, that's generally what we went with. And it tasted like it was worth every penny. If only we'd had Schmidt's or Hamm's... |

Location: Tennessee | We used to get Lucky Lager for $1.99 a case. Granted the brown bottles were only 11 oz. but the pictogram riddles on the inside of the bottle caps provided hours of entertainment, especially when we couldn't exactly focus on the little picture clues. |

| Being a strict Ricenbacker fan when it comes to the Bass I never really considered an Ovation Bass. But you know these old basses have a certain character about them, they are different! I have a feeling they are sleepers of a sort they will be quite the collectable someday and a good value to buy now if you find one? If you mess around with any bass you will find the right sound you want. Strings alone are a big big part of this. I am learning this right now! Pickups are all over the board. Try a few basses at the shop that have different setup's see what brand the pickups are and if they will fit in the Ovation try a set out? Just keep all the original parts and try not to modify it so it can't be brought back to original. Have fun with this and Worry about the Ric after you learn to play it well!
