Here's a good looking Ovation Elite on ebay at a good price. But what I find interesting is that it has the same black bridge that Cliff has on his guitar. Those are the only two Ovatons I've ever seen with that.

Really?! Maybe my color receptors need recalibration; looks pretty brown to me. I thought it looks pretty much like most other bridges. BTW, has Ovation ever used ebony bridges?

Maybe black saddle? That looks pretty cool.

Pickup/saddle. Sorry, I misspoke. I've just never seen black ones before.

This was discussed before, I think, is a black saddle factoty, or is it a sign the saddle has been replaced?

I needed some work done on by old folklore last year and sent it back to the factory. (See gallery)
I had seen Cliffs black pickup and asked Kim since I needed mine replaced could he find a black one laying around.
He said no problem. Now that I have it back I kind of like the looks of it. The big advantage is as the white ones get old they turn a little yellow and dirt and dust and crud get down in the cracks and look like hell. I think the black ones will stay newer looking longer.

So, if it is factory, it may have been a factory repair?

we did black saddles with the Thunderbolt. Since then it's been available.
Since 2000(not really sure of the exact start) they have used ebony bridges.
