Location: High, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado | Hi all, I'm thinking about a preamp upgrade. My Elite has a OP-X in it right now. I'd like to upgrade to the OP-24+C, mainly for the Chromatic tuner.
My first question. Can I do this easily (drop in)?
Second, where could I purchase one?
I do thank you.

Location: Burbank | I recently wrote the factory about that same question. They will sell you one (OP-24+ C) for $150. You can do it if you are handy. But if you are going from a sqare type OP-24 to an oval style like OP-30 they won't even do it. Write customer service for specifics.

Location: High, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado | Thank You Mario! That is what I was looking for, and hoping to hear. I have looked all over the internet, and have yet to see anyone selling parts, so I had a feeling that I might need to contact the factory.
$150.00 does not sound too bad. Have you made the swap yet? I think I will give it a go...

Location: High, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado | This is a follow up... I have made the up grade. It was simple and works fantastic!
Kim Keller was very gracious and explained the easy procedure over the phone. Such fine help is a rare commodity these days..
The hardest part for me was prying the face plate off to expose the 4 screws. This was easy enough, but I did not want to destroy anything. It came off with out a hitch.
The tuner was my primary motivation to up grade, but the pre-amp itself is an improvement. My Elite never sounded so good plugged in. All in all, I think it was a worth while endeavor.
You'll have to excuse me now, I'm going to go play my up graded Elite...
