I have had the guitar since 1978, and the uncle i got the guitar from said he had if for about 8 years. I tried using the code on the Ovation web site, but wasn't sure if I got it right. I understand the model # , but having rouble figuring out the age. Thanks for any help.

Location: Dallas, GA, USA | Was there a specific reason that some don't have a color code on the end? My Balladeer just says 1111 on the inside. It's a white top. Was there no color option at the time of its production (1982)? |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | And, does a foil label with 1111 (only) give any indication, as to its age? Mine also has a black peghead and neck, with "Balladeer" in script between the tuning machines. |
