When I got my new Legend earlier this year, it came with the nice Ovation hardshell case. The case has the silver Ovation logo sort of inlaid on the top.
Well, I have a stickers sitting here (a cool red rose that my wonderful wife got for me), but I'm having a hard time on deciding to put it on the case....
It's somewhat of a tradition for us Kerrverts (folks that attend and/or camp at the Kerrville Folk Festival) to put a KFF sticker on your case.
It looks so "professional" in it's pristine state.
Should I sticker or not? :o
Help!

Put the sticker on the back (bottom) that way it's there on the case, but does not take away from the nice looking top (lid) with the logo. Dave

Why didn't I think of that?

Two suggestions.

1: Stick the sticker to your T shirt first, then peel it off your shirt & put it on your case. It will stick, but it will be fairly easy to peel back off. (Old bodyshop masking tape trick.)
2: If you ever need to remove a recalcitrant sticker try "Goof-Off". You can buy it at any home repair store. Stupid name, but we have several rentals & I've used Goof-Off to remove stickers that have been on interior doors, woodwork, you name it. Try it in an inconspicuous spot first, but I've never had it attack anything I've used it on. It even works on chewing gum, Magic Marker & crayon!

There's also stuff that you probably get from a local sign shop called "Rapid Remove". It's a relative inert citrus-oil based liquid that shouldn't affect you case material. It's designed to to disolve the adhesive used in vinyl graphics (& stickers) without harming the substrate that it might be applied to. I've used it over the years to remove/change vinyl vehicle graphics and various tradeshow/exhibit structures & banners.

Or . . .you could just do what I do what I do:

I leave my guitar cases "clean".
I have an "anvil" case that I carry my mics, pedal, cables, etc. that I festoon with a veritable variety of "stickers".

Great tips, guys. I like the anvil case - are those available at any GC or such?

Yeah Paul, they've got 'em.
The size of the one shown would probably go for around $100. I had gotten a bunch of 'em that were just abandoned at trade shows or were lost and unclaimed.

Might work better than the old gym bag I've been using - and I can stickerize it.
