Picked up my guitar from the repair shop last night. (SEE earlier posting Guitar nightmare) I have to say I am very impressed with the work done. The cracks in the guitar were so violent looking it would make you sick, and now you would have to really know where to look for any sign. You can run your finger over the top and everything feels as smooth as glass. Hats off to Andy at Music Folk in Webster Groves Mo. I wish everyone who has had a bad time with one of those big chains can find a fine shop like this one. Now then back to work on Django. Rock on!

Congrats on your repair Mark! I hope my experience turns out just as possitive (having a crack in the soundboard of my Legend repaired).

It's been three weeks now, and as of last Friday, the repair guy didn'teven start working on it yet (he had an "emergency" repair on a decapitated violin)

I don't mind waiting as long as it is done right.

Norse(It kinda rubbed me the wrong way though when I happened to drive past a group of protesters holding up anti-war/anti Bush signs this Saturday, and recognized my repairman amongst the crowd! I mean come on, what's more important, War with Iraq, or Norseman's Legend?!)man1

Hey Norse, let me know how you feel about your Legend when you get it back. I know that after my giddy reaction to have my guitar back I can see the flaws if I choose to look at them. Instead I consider them battle scars as the sound is still pure Ovation. It's not perfect but when you consider how bad it was I have no complaints.
