Hello I have a wonderful CK-057. The sound is awesome. When I got it, the action was ok- could have been lower. Now, over time the action height rivals the Golden Gate Bridge. The neck is pretty straight. There is just slight relief to keep it from buzzing. Is there something I can do to bring this thing down a bit?

Vic, if you take off the strings and remove the saddle from the bridge, you hopefully will find some little thin bits of plastic (or some other material) under the saddle. These are called shims. If you search shim on this website you will find some threads on how to do this.

Take one or two out, put the strings back on and see how it goes. Before you do this, measure the distance between the low E string and the 12th fret. Ideally it should be 5/64". Taking out a shim will lower the action by half the thickness of the shim.
