I hate to do this cause I know I'm gonna regret it someday but a family emergency forces my hand. Couple of guitars up for sale:

1967 Ovation Tornado, SN 646
Very low production number, born on November 30th of 1967 as evidenced by removing the bridge pickup. When I picked up this guitar I originally intended to refinish/restore it but after discovering the low sn I decided against it. It came to my door with a gold Gibson tailpiece which was swapped out for a new Bigsby B3 trem. Somewhere in it's life it had previously had a B3 installed improperly as when I installed this one there were already screw holes for it and it is slightly off-kilter. Doesn't affect the sound or playability whatsoever. There are lots of finish cracks on this one, as well as a couple of areas where finish has been removed. It looks like the previous owner had the same thought as me and took some fine sandpaper to one area of it at one point but decided against it. The headstock is missing a bit of one of the ears and the TRC. The pickguard is also missing. The back of the headstock has a yellow dot on it, I presume where there may have been a factory 2nd stamp.

The electronics all work perfectly, no scratch in the pots and these pickups are LOUD! Action is great all the way up the neck with very little fret wear from cowboy chords. This is a sweet guitar despite the cosmetic issues and plays/sounds amazing. Price is 450 plus shipping and it includes a gig bag. Due to the circumstances forcing the sale, no reasonable offer will be turned down!

I just finished up this guitar as a project I've had around for awhile. The guitar was stripped and refinished in an awesome blue metallic flake. Never clear-coated because I didn't want it to blind anyone! This guitar has a black Kahler Flyer tremolo system with behind the nut lock on the headstock and all black electronics/hardware. The pickguard is an original for the guitar purchased from Miles but the electronics are Mighty Mite as I did not have the originals. This guitar plays and sounds exactly what you'd expect Ovation's version of the Strat to but a little bit hotter due to the pickups. There is a bit of fret wear in the first few frets but every note rings true all the way up and down.

Minor scratches and bruises here but nothing major. Asking 325 but again no reasonable offer will be turned down due to the circumstances. Comes with an old Ario Pro II hard case that the guitar fits nicely in.

Normally I don't use PayPal but due to the urgency of the sale I will use it if you prefer. Shoot me a PM or an email and perhaps we can work something out. Thanks everyone!

Wow. That tornado went fast, for good reason.

Congrats! I was a little too slow on the Tornado. I'll have to get back up to speed...
