I thought it was the aging and "opening up" of the finished guitar that was critical 2. Would (no pun intended) a wood topped Adamas II sound any different than an Elite non-cutaway, maybe a 1537? Yes the suspended top ring is a bit different but on a wood top does it matter?

A USA manufactured instrument being returned to the USA = no duty. In germany fiscal authorities give a rat's ass where something has been manufactured. Everything that is imported has to be paid taxes and customs for. No matter, if it was assembled in germany before and then has been exported. This is meant for foreign, not european transfers, for sure. Best regards, Kurt

It's a very impressive instrument. This guitar is worth every penny they are asking.....

It showed that the wood was at least 100 years before it got cut up and made into a top. If memory serves me right it was made in the late 70's, so the top of the guitar is at least 140 years old. That's cool.
