I've not seen those discolorations on the finish of any Patriots or Legend Limiteds with the nutmeg finish. It doesn't look to be a lighting issue because it appears in every photo in the listing, and it remains relatively uniform over the entire top.

If ya mean the 'leopard spots', true. Other than that, it does look in fairly decent condition.

I thought that the leopard spots were part of the wood.
Gives it more character.

And I am also surprised that it is still there. :p

Flysig, GO FOR IT!! I know how badly you want one of these, and those "leopard spots" ARE part of the wood, and they look great in person. I remember seeing some like that when we made them, and they are BEAUTIFUL.

The credit card got badly hurt this summer. Someday I'll get one of those Patriots. Karen's really got me hooked.

I'd buy it right now if I had paypal. No credit card at all means no paypal. But that is SUCH a great price!!

Arthur,

I'm wid ya. If I hadn't just adopted rhoadsscholar's SWEET A/E Patriot, I'd been all over this 'un!

BTW, back when I was jonesing for a 1776, there were none to be found. Fortunately, Miles had a weak moment and I pounced. Now the Pats are 'all over'. I've yet to play one that disappointed!

Sure hope that Steve (FlySig) had a weak moment and got this 'un! He had a tough time in letting Karen's go at the Black Hills Jam. Steve... ?

Sorry time to be sellin'... :(

Not me this time. We've had some unexpected medical bills on top of all the regular stuff and three kids' tuitions. The cars are coming up on some pricey scheduled maintenance, too.

In my weak moments I think that debt is OK since we are likely to see some serious inflation in the next year or two. But then I start thinking about the ramifications of that inflation and want to be debt free instead.

Being the responsible adult sucks sometimes.

Thanks 2ifbyc for buying the Patriot. I used the funds for another ovation. If someone is still interested in a Patriot, the Guitar Center in Southfield Michigan has a really nice electric and they just lowered the price to $610.00. it plays good. From time to time, they have a 15 % off coupon so you could get into it for for less than $550 (pretty good shape). I'll miss mine but I have never had an Adamas and a 2080 is in my near future.
